Account creation

Fill in your e-mail, set a password and accept the terms and conditions to create a WoF account.

Account confirmation

Click the link in the confirmation mail we sent you. Otherwise your account will be deleted after two weeks. If you need a second confirmation mail usethis link: bit.ly/1Q2fGhm

Installation

Download the game from the website to your PC. Then run the installation program and click through the setup.

Launcher

Run the launcher. Select a language in the top left corner. Click the button ‘Check’ to search for available updates. Click ‘Play’ to start the game.

Login

Enter the e-mail and password that you entered in the registration and click ‘Login’. If you don’t remember click ‘Can’t log in?’.

Character creation

Choose whether your character shall be male or female and choose one of the six different characters.Then click ‘Name your character’ to create your character.

Menu screen

From the menu you can access most of the game’s features. Configuration menu and tutorial are the most important for the beginning.

Settings

In the configuration menu you can change your audio & video settings. The key bindings can also be changed here.

Tutorial

The tutorial provides an introduction to the basic game mechanics. You will learn everything you need to know in order to catch your first fish!

Movement

Move your boat with the keys W, A, S, D. Drive to one of the fishing spots that are marked on the minimap.

Casting

Use the “CAST” button (or press ‘C’ on your keyboard) to cast your rod. Then wait for a fish and hook it at the right time..

Fishing

Reduce the fish’ endurance by keeping tension on the line (press left mouse button). When the endurance reaches zero, you win and catch the fish.

ABILITIES

Use your abilities ‘Swing’ (hold left mouse button and flick mouse right or left) and ‘Hold’ (hold right mouse button) to increase dealt damage.

COMBOS

Perform several swings and manage the Hold command to do combos. With combos you can stun the fish and deal critical damage!

CONSUMABLES

Use consumables to refuel your boat, restore your stamina or increase your damage for a short time.

FISHING GEAR

Good fishing gear is most important to successfully catch bigger fish. Make sure your boat, rod, reel, line; bait and hooks are always up to date.

CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES

Clothing further increases your base stats while accessories can provide the additional stat boost you may need for the really big and rare fish out there.

CONSUMABLES

Some consumables can give you temporary stat bonuses, while others - for example - give you access to restricted fishing areas, and many other perks!

ITEMS

In the shop you can buy all types of items. The golden items usually have better stats than their blue counterparts.

CURRENCIES

There are three currencies in the shop: Shells (earn them by selling fish), Pearls (purchasable for real money) and C-Coins (daily login rewards).

PACKAGES AND OFFERS

The store will regularly feature discount offers and packages. Make sure you don’t miss any by following us on our social media!

PROGRESS

Earning Experience Points (XP) allows you to level up but also unlock new areas and equipment so you can catch bigger and tougher fish. A good way to earn experience is by catching fish.

QUESTS

Another way to earn experience is to complete quests. You can accept new quests from the quest givers in the quest menu.

POP-UP MISSIONS

Other than quests, Random fishing missions will pop up on your screen from time to time. Try not to miss them, the extra rewards will help you upgrade your gear more often!

UPGRADABLE ITEMS

You can upgrade your equipment to increase its stats and boost your abilities. Currently, only rods and reels can be upgraded.

UPGRADING

In the upgrade menu, select the item you want to improve and at least one upgrade orb. Reach a certain amount of points to unlock improvements.

UPGRADING FURTHER

Use better upgrade orbs and other upgrade items like save and reset cards to improve your chances.

CHAT

You can use the ingame chat at any time by pressing ‘Enter’. There is also a button to whisper to another player so only that player receives your message.

FRIENDS

Adding other players as friends allows you to see their online status and easily team up to play with them. New friends can be added in the friend list.

GUILDS

You can join or create a guild in the guild menu to become part of the community and compete in the guild rankings with your fellow fishers!

MEDIA
